A Sangria Recipe for Every Season!
Sangria is one of my favorite cocktails for any time of year. The mix of wine, chopped fruit, and other ingredients (like spices and other liquors) is easy to make and it always packs a punch. Traditional sangria, originating in Spain, uses red wine, but white wine sangrias and rose sangrias have become really popular too.
Some recipes are warming and comforting from red wine and warm spices. Other recipes are cooling and refreshing from white wine and sweeter ingredients. But no matter which wine you use, they’re all tasty!
Whether you’re looking for something to serve at summer gatherings, on crisp fall nights, or at a holiday party, these easy sangria recipes are sure to hit the spot. I’ve collected recipes around seasons, but they’re all delicious no matter when you make them!

Sangria Recipes for Summer
There’s nothing more refreshing in the heat of summer than a cold glass of homemade sangria! These sweet and fruity recipes are made for BBQs and slow evenings outside.
- Rose Sangria: The light pink color of rose wine with fresh fruit like peaches and raspberries makes a beautiful cocktail for spring and summer. Soda water adds some fizziness to make it extra refreshing!
- Sweet Tea Sangria: Warm days call for a glass of sweet tea–add some sweet moscato wine, peaches and raspberries, and then it will really cool you down in the summer heat!
- Grapefruit Vodka Sangria: I was inspired by a Salty Dog cocktail for this one. Grapefruit vodka, grapefruit juice, rose wine, ginger ale, and fresh grapefruit slices make for a sweet, tart, and fizzy summer sangria recipe!
- Red Berry Sangria: Fresh strawberries and raspberries, a blended berry juice, and red berry vodka create a fruity cocktail base. Moscato and lemon lime soda finish it up for a delightful summery drink.
Easy Fall Sangria Recipes
When the seasons change, it’s time to pull out the warming flavors of fall! These cocktail recipes are refreshing enough for late summer heat, but cozy enough for crisper autumn nights. These recipes are perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving!
- Caramel Apple Sangria: Better than a slice of apple pie! This sangria is made with apple cider, cinnamon, caramel vodka, white wine, fresh apples and pears, and ginger ale. It has all the warmth of autumn in a refreshing sip!
- Honey Bourbon Sangria: This is the best fall sangria recipe! Made with honey bourbon whiskey, moscato, chai, ginger, citrus, and a few other ingredients. It’s bursting with flavor!
- Grapefruit Beer Sangria: This recipe is a little different because we use a grapefruit beer instead of wine, but it’s got all the fresh fruit and juicy flavors you’d expect from a pitcher of sangria!
- Red Sangria: A fruity sangria filled with apples, brandy, red wine, and cinnamon will take you from late summer and straight into the fall season with just one sip!
- Halloween Sangria: This “poison apple” sangria is perfect for spooky season! A sour apple flavor and dry ice effect make it a fun cocktail.
Winter and Holiday Sangrias
With Christmas, holiday parties, and New Year’s Eve squished into one month, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make these easy sangrias for a crowd.
- Holiday Sangria: Red wine, cranberry juice, apple cider (spiced and sparkling!), vodka, and of course lots of fruit fills out this cocktail. The deep red color is perfect for holiday parties all season long!
- Mock Sangria: If you need a non-alcoholic drink for your next party or night at home, this sangria is perfect. Cranberry and blood orange create a beautifully fruity sip that everyone can enjoy!
- Christmas Sangria: This cranberry orange sangria starts with a homemade simple syrup, then mixes with red wine, cranberry juice, and more.
- Pink Champagne Sangria: Celebrate New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, or another special occasion with this bubbly pink moscato sangria! Grapefruit and pomegranate complement the wine perfectly.
Any of these easy sangria recipes are sure to delight a crowd, any time of year! I especially love that you can mix up a big pitcher of sangria ahead of time and just let it chill in the fridge, so no need to hassle with bartending.
If you need some snacks to go with these cocktails, try herb marinated mozzarella, blue cheese stuffed olives, fruit salsa, a caprese salad, or candied nuts. Or pair it with sangria pork carnitas or sangria chicken for dinner!
