Why We Love This Bacon Cheese Fries Recipe
Give me all the cheese fries. All of them. There’s just simply nothing better than good old-fashioned fries smothered in tons of cheese, crispy bacon, fresh green onion, and ranch! Forget the sour cream and layer on the ranch, both in powder form and dressing form. Do I have your attention yet?
- Easy. Dressing up frozen fries has never been simpler!
- Cheesy. Three cheeses– yes, three! Cheddar, mozzarella, and feta pack these fries with cheesy goodness.
- Bacon-y. Crispy, crunchy, savory bacon crumbles make these fries so craveable.
Variations on Bacon and Cheese Fries
I love the combo of cheese I picked for this recipe, but feel free to get creative! Pepper jack, American, gruyere, Swiss, fontina, and provolone are all great choices! Try some brown sugar bacon for a sweet and spicy twist.

And of course, you can’t forget to add the perfect margarita to the line-up. Gotta wash those cheese fries down with something, after all.
You sure can! Try my favorite homemade french fries, air fryer french fries, or shoestring fries!
Unfortunately, these cheese fries are not naturally gluten-free. Many brands of frozen french fries contain wheat flour, and not all ranch dressings are gluten-free.
While you technically can save these fries for later, I recommend only making as much as you think you’ll eat in one sitting, since they tend to turn soggy when reheated.
