- Make the simple syrup in a pot on the stovetop.
- Strain it and let it cool.

I like to use Granny Smith apples that have a nice tart flavor. Pink Ladies or Honey Crisp bith work great too, but in a pinch, most apples will work well.
You will be able to make around 10 drinks with this apple syrup. Keep the syrup covered in the fridge and it will keep well for 1 to 2 weeks.
Yes! I sometimes like to drizzle a little caramel sauce on top of the coffee, or, you could mix in a couple of tablespoons with the milk and apple syrup.
You can use dairy or plant based milk to make this drink. Almond, oat milk, and soy all work well.

The first time I made this I couldn’t find apple cider in the store so I bought sugar free apple cider packets and it still turned out wonderful! I’ve made a second batch today, after getting my hands on a jug of apple cider and I’ve doubled the recipe to share with a friend. This recipe is delicious!
I doubled the apply syrup recipe and it has a liquid consistency it a syrup consistency…I’m wondering what I did wrong
Hi Carrie, this is a simple syrup, which does have a more liquid consistency than the coffee shop syrups you may be used to. You can continue to simmer it over low heat until it thickens up more to your liking if you prefer, but it may begin to take on a caramelly flavor!
Really easy to make and smells so good. BUT do NOT throw out the apple leftovers. It made a really good chunky applesauce.
Question; could you substitute the Cinnamon sticks for ground cinnamon?
Sure!
Hi Jackie, the ingredient called for is apple cider, not apple cider vinegar! Apple cider is unfiltered apple juice!
