I absolutely love anything apple pie in the Fall. It’s simply a must make flavor profile that I can’t get enough of! This cocktail is on repeat at our house as soon as the weather turns cool.
What’s in Apple Cider Punch
This recipe tastes great with or without alcohol, so you can make it to fit the occasion. Talk about a crowd pleaser!
- Apple: Use your favorite apple – just be sure to slice it.
- Apple Cider: Buy it at the store or make your own! I have recipes for both Crockpot apple cider AND Instant Pot apple cider.
- Pear Nectar: You should be able to find this in the juice aisle of your local grocery store. It adds the best fruity touch of sweetness!
- Ginger Ale: This adds a delicious sparkling element.
- Apple Pie Vodka: If you can’t find this, no worries! Just swap it with caramel vodka.
PRO TIP: If you’re looking to liven up your holiday this year, just splash a little Apple Pie Vodka in your glass. You guys…this vodka. I am NOT a shot girl, but that vodka is AMAZING.
What type of apple works best in this drink?
You can use pretty much any type of apple in this drink. Depending on your preferences, here are some ideas:
- Tart: Granny Smith, Macintosh, Pink Lady apples
- In-between: Gala, Jazz, Delicious
- Sweet: Honeycrisp, Fuji, Envy

Sure thing! Mix most of the ingredients and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. Just save the ice and ginger ale for serving time. The ice will melt and water down the drink, and the ginger ale could lose its fizz.
Nope! Although it’s an apple pie inspired drink, this recipe calls for fresh apples only.
Check your local liquor store! If you’re struggling to find some, consider making my favorite apple pie vodka recipe (it’s super quick and easy). You can always replace it with caramel vodka if needed.

“I just tested this (non-alcoholic version) for a work event next week – it was delicious and easy to make! Thanks for the recipe!” – Julia R.
I featured you in a recent blog post: http://life8oh2.com/autumn-inspired-cocktails/ !
This looks so yummy, I need to try it ASAP!
Have you ever made it with non-flavored vodka? Does it still taste good??
I haven’t made it that way, but I think there are plenty of other flavors in here so it will still taste good. Hope you love it Sarah!
Looks delicious! I´m about to throw a fall menu for my love today. Totally try the recipe :) Thank you for sharing! Best wishes from Germany
Love that Emily, Thanks so much for saying hi!! I hope you love the recipe :)
I can’t believe I’m just seeing this now! Looks delicious and perfect for this time of year, even though it’s unseasonably warm here in WI. Happy almost 2 year blog anniversary :)
Aw thank you!!!! And hope you love the recipe!
This is great. Spicy, sparkly, and refreshing. Doubling the recipe for a baby shower and will have the alcohol off to the side for anyone who wants it alcoholic.
Good idea Amber!!! So glad you love it, thanks for letting me know!!
Excellent blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Appreciate it!
Hey Carson! Very cool that you want to start a blog! I have written out a couple tips and my favorite platforms here: https://thecookierookiecom.bigscoots-staging.com/make-money-blog/ Let me know if you have any questions!
Hi I made my version of this for Thanksgiving. Apple juice, ginger ale and Guava nectar. I also added a little vanilla and cinnamon sticks. Soo good. Salted caramel vodka went great in there too!
That sounds delish!! Thanks for letting me know! Hope you had a great holiday :)
I was wondering how much of the vodka to use?
Hey Kayla, I just add one shot (or about 1.5 ounces) to each drink. If you’re making a pitcher for 4, you could add 4 shots in there, etc. Hope that helps!
I love this! Making it for thanksgiving for sure! Thanks for thr recipe!
Yay, I love to hear that!! Hope you love the recipe, it’s one of my favorites!
Does it still taste like apple pie without the apple pie vodka? Also, is it light, med, or ill bodied? Wondering if I should serve/offer a second choice if this one is to “thick” to accompany food. Thanks :)
Hey Michelle- It would still have a strong apple/apple cider taste without the apple pie vodka. You could also add a couple cinnamon sticks to give it the same feel. I would say it’s light/medium bodied. It tastes a lot like a juice punch. Hope you love it!
