I absolutely love anything apple pie in the Fall. It’s simply a must make flavor profile that I can’t get enough of! This cocktail is on repeat at our house as soon as the weather turns cool.
What’s in Apple Cider Punch
This recipe tastes great with or without alcohol, so you can make it to fit the occasion. Talk about a crowd pleaser!
- Apple: Use your favorite apple – just be sure to slice it.
- Apple Cider: Buy it at the store or make your own! I have recipes for both Crockpot apple cider AND Instant Pot apple cider.
- Pear Nectar: You should be able to find this in the juice aisle of your local grocery store. It adds the best fruity touch of sweetness!
- Ginger Ale: This adds a delicious sparkling element.
- Apple Pie Vodka: If you can’t find this, no worries! Just swap it with caramel vodka.
PRO TIP: If you’re looking to liven up your holiday this year, just splash a little Apple Pie Vodka in your glass. You guys…this vodka. I am NOT a shot girl, but that vodka is AMAZING.
What type of apple works best in this drink?
You can use pretty much any type of apple in this drink. Depending on your preferences, here are some ideas:
- Tart: Granny Smith, Macintosh, Pink Lady apples
- In-between: Gala, Jazz, Delicious
- Sweet: Honeycrisp, Fuji, Envy

Sure thing! Mix most of the ingredients and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve. Just save the ice and ginger ale for serving time. The ice will melt and water down the drink, and the ginger ale could lose its fizz.
Nope! Although it’s an apple pie inspired drink, this recipe calls for fresh apples only.
Check your local liquor store! If you’re struggling to find some, consider making my favorite apple pie vodka recipe (it’s super quick and easy). You can always replace it with caramel vodka if needed.

5-Star Review
“I just tested this (non-alcoholic version) for a work event next week – it was delicious and easy to make! Thanks for the recipe!” – Julia R.
This is a wonderful drink for Thanksgiving. My family loved it!
Now they’re going to be asking you to bring this every holiday! LOL
I want to make this for a party, what would the measurements be for a gallon drink dispenser? I prefer not to make individual drinks and just let people serve themselves from the dispenser.
I’d like to make a non-alcoholic version of this. Any idea on what to substitute for the apple cider vodka? I feel like there is a flavor profile that adds that would be missing if I don’t use it. Suggestions welcome. :)
How many does this recipe serve? I’d like to scale it up to 5 gallon servings for an event. Thanks.
Can’t wait to serve for Bunco this week! I couldn’t find pear nectar but did find Mango nectar. Do you think that would completely change the taste. And going to try diet ginger ale to help on calories:)
I just tested this (non-alcoholic version) for a work event next week – it was delicious and easy to make! Thanks for the recipe!
That’s awesome! I’m so glad you loved it.
I just tried this recipe—exactly as written, non-alcoholic— for my daughter’s birthday. I had to convert the ingredients list to all cups—it is essentially 4 parts cider, 2 parts pear, 3 parts ginger ale. It is good as written, but i also made it 4 parts cider, 1 part pear, 2 parts ginger ale and liked that even better. Very refreshing on a hot albuquerque september day!
I’m glad you loved it! Those conversions are very user friendly, thanks for writing it that way!
Both versions are great and I agree with Veronica that the one with 1 part pear and 2 parts ginger ale is even better. We made 2 versions – one with apple infused vodka and one with caramel vodka.
If I can’t find apple pie vodka what flavored vodka do you recommend? I don’t want to make it HOMEADE…I found an apple pie whiskey and an apple pie Moonshine, will either of those work?
I would recommend caramel vodka if you can’t find apple pie. It will be just as good! We do it both ways :)
Apple is my favorite juice
I made this with 1 cup of vodka and 1/4 cup of fireball. It’s so perfect it’s almost laughable. This will be a great Thanksgiving.
