This delicious Apple Pie Oatmeal wouldn’t be possible without my favvvvvvvorite oats, Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Steel Cut Oats. Bob’s Red Mill is all about quality, and it shows in their products. How do you make healthy oatmeal?
Oatmeal is a really great healthy breakfast recipe. You can add in whatever you want, make it taste however you want, and even change the nutrition level based on what you put in. Using gluten-free oats definitely helps to keep it healthy, especially for those with gluten intolerance.
If you really want to make your apple oatmeal healthy, skip the butter. Most of the ingredients are just for flavor and won’t ruin the nutritional content. Top your apple pie instant pot oatmeal with extra apples and even a handful of walnuts to make it even healthier (and tastier!).
Start your mornings with Instant Pot Oatmeal and try out all the flavors you can think of. First up should be this apple oatmeal recipe, of course, but you can get creative with it after that. This Apple Pie Oatmeal is going to brighten up your mornings!

The taste is great! It just burns easily. I solved it by putting it in a IP safe bowl and placing that on a trivet with a cup of water in the bottom.
Great solution!
I’ve been having the same problem. It would burn before even getting up to pressure. Trying it on low pressure this morning and it seems to be working much better.
I’m so sorry that one didn’t work out for you!
This happens more than you’d think actually. I’m sure it tasted awful!! I’m sorry that happened but hope you love it next time you make it :) syair hongkong
If using rolled oats, how much would you use? I have a breakfast on Saturday, and I would like to do an apple and cinnamon oatmeal. Thanks in advance.

I’m maki this reci now. I am using my IP Duo 7-in-1 and it has a sett f porrige which in the manu also says to use for oatmeal. So I am us that setTing. I am not using actual oatmeal. I am using steel cut oats and every ingredient you recommended in your recipe. I hope it turns out alright. It is cooking at high pressure for 9 minutes because I read revieWs that some experienced crunchy oats and I really don’t want that result. Assume that this turned out perfectly and was a big hit with my 3.5 year old and myself unless I Return with additional feedback. Thanks for this recipe!

Not sure what I did wrong but the oats for the apple pie oatmeal turned out crunchy still. Like they didn’t cook.
Did you use the steel cut oats and did your instant pot seem to get really hot/let out steam? I’m so sorry I’m not sure! I have made this multiple times with no problems. I’m so sorry I’m not more help :(
