Made this tonight for dinner for a house full of teenage boys. It was super delicious. Omitted the Velveeta cheese, but it was great without it.
That makes me so happy to hear!
5 stars!
I think I forgot to rate this! 5 stars for sure!
I don’t care for regular sloppy joes , but these were out of this world delicious! I have made them twice now. I follow the directions exactly, except I use 2 pounds ground beef, no need to double anything- except I do add a little more cider vinegar and ketchup. I also add garlic. The ciabatta rolls make this over the top! I get 8 generous servings using the 2 pounds of beef. I found Velveeta in single serving pouches, they come in a box of three and one packet is the perfect amount for this! Thank you so much for this recipe. It’s been added to my rotation.
Yay! Best comment ever :) :) :)
Hi! This looks delicious! I need to use 2 pounds of ground beef , as I have big eaters in my family. Can you please give me the measurements for doubling this recipe? Thank you!
Hi! You can adjust the servings in the recipe card (hover over the servings amount) and it will give you the measurements. Enjoy!

Awesome! Makes me so happy that you loved it :)
My family loved this. I used ground turkey instead of beef, red pepper instead of green and totally skipped the mushrooms (not a fan). We ate this on a lighter roll (snowflake rolls from food lion). Oh! And used shredded “macaroni and cheese” cheese instead of processed. will definitely be fixing this again. thanks!!
Awesome! Love your substitutions. Thanks for letting me know!!
These are amazing! The flavors in a sloppy joe is such a wonderful idea!
Thanks for sharng and happy new year!!
Wishes for tasty dishes,
Linda
Thank you Linda! Hope you enjoy. Happy New Year!
Oh my these look amazing!! I am going to try them this weekend. Do you think these could be made in an instant pot? obviously not the last part where you broil them on the bun but maybe the GOOEY goodness?
I do think so! Here’s a link I found since I haven’t tried them, I think you could use my ingredients and their cook time. Hope it works, please let me know!!! I love our new Instant Pot: https://www.pressurecookrecipes.com/instant-pot-sloppy-joes/
