This homemade Chex Mix Recipe is something my Mom has been making since I was a little kid. It’s the best party mix! It doesn’t get better than this mix of cereal, nuts, pretzels, and all that spice! A little bit sweet and a little bit spicy. It’s perfect for Christmas, tailgating, Summer BBQs, and every day in between.

How to Make Chex Mix Step by Step
Combine the Cereals: Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet or lasagna pan with parchment paper and set aside. Combine 3 cups of Crispix cereal, 3 cups of Rice Chex cereal, 3 cups of Honey Chex cereal, 1 cup of Cheerios cereal, 1 cup of Honey Nut Cheerios cereal, 1 cup of Pretzel Goldfish, and 2-3 cups of whole cashews in a large bowl.
Make the Sauce: In a medium saucepan set over low heat, melt ¾ cup of unsalted butter. Add 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and 1½ teaspoons of seasoning salt (and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper if using) and mix well.
Stir the Snack Mix: Pour the butter mixture over the cereal and gently stir until everything is evenly coated.
Bake the Snack Mix: Spread the cereal onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 45-60 minutes – stirring every 15 minutes until it turns a little golden.
Cool and Serve: Pour out onto aluminum foil and let cool completely before serving in a large bowl.
