These are great. Have made them several times. The way to avoid having the tater tots crumble is to partially – rather than fully – thaw them. Thanks for this easy recipe.
Thanks so much for sharing what works for you, Kris!
I used tater tot crowns and they held together pretty good. I also used a wire rack underneath and didn’t flip them. I’m going to serve them tonight and I think they will be a hit. (I tasted a few – yummy, with a spicy kick 1 minute after eating.)
Those look wonderful, Jim!
I am sorry to hear that!
A lot of the tots crumbled before I could even use them. I gave up trying to cut a place for the cheese, the tots just couldn’t take it. It was a chore to wrap the tots in bacon but I got about 20 or so into the oven. I will say the ones I cooked were good. I’m a novice cook so I’ll try them again later. Thanks
I am sorry it didn’t work out for you, Steve!
So disappointed. The smoke alarms went off. All bacon and cheese grease. Better off cooking tater tots then a few minutes before taking out of oven adding cheese and cookef bacon
I am sorry it didn’t work out for you, Tina!
